Our educational programs.

Tutoring, themed camps, coding, competition prep: a complete framework built by and for families, with the rigour of an elite program and the care of an extended family.

Our approach

A tailored path, never standardized.

Every child enters BlackGenius Canada with an honest academic diagnostic. From that starting point, we build an individualized plan combining academic support, challenges and growth activities.

01

Academic tutoring

Weekly support in math, science, French and English. Small groups by grade level, led by selected and trained university students.

02

Competition preparation

Targeted training for national and international math, science, logic and coding competitions, and preparation for admission to enriched and international programs (IEP, IB).

03

Coding and robotics

Introduction and skill-building in programming (Scratch, Python, JavaScript), algorithmic thinking and robotics clubs. Rigorous preparation for STEM.

04

World languages

English reinforcement (TOEFL/IELTS target) and exposure to a third language starting in elementary school. Our children should be trilingual by age 18.

05

STEM summer camps

Two intensive sessions in July and August: science projects, experiments, field trips, design-thinking workshops.

06

Educational resources

Digital library: textbooks, corrected exercises, video capsules, BlackGenius competition archives. Accessible to member families (phase 2).

07

University mentorship

"Mentor for a Day" program: our youth meet Afro-Canadian professionals and students in medicine, engineering, law, finance and research.

08

Public speaking and leadership

Workshops in public speaking, debate, oratory and essay writing. Excellence isn't only seen in a grade: it's spoken.

09

School services

Starting in 2028: a dedicated offering for partner schools (clubs, workshops, dropout-prevention days for young people of African descent).

Flagship program

Math Games: play, progress, win.

An online, year-round app that turns math training into a game — and consistency into a concrete reward.

Modeled on video-game logic — progressive levels, challenges, rewards, escalating difficulty — the program guides each child at their own pace, from basic mental math to advanced reasoning. Available to every child in our nonprofit, from elementary to high school.

Consistency pays off. Every session played builds the child's file. The most diligent and high-performing children win prizes awarded publicly at the Nuit des Défis, and can access our scholarship fund reserved for our nonprofit's top achievers.

Academic commitment

Admission and continuation thresholds.

We believe in rigour and shared responsibility. Member children maintain a minimum academic threshold to remain enrolled in the programs.

Thresholds by subject (whole grades): Math ≥ 80 · Science ≥ 80 · English ≥ 70 · French ≥ 70.

These thresholds are not an elitism test: they ensure that every child joining the group can keep up the pace and fully benefit from the support. When a child struggles, BlackGenius Canada puts in place a dedicated catch-up plan — because rigour without solidarity does not make a community.

Give your child a framework for excellence.

Enrolling your child means opening the door to a demanding, caring environment, carried forward by other families who share your ambitions.
