BlackGenius Canada is, first and foremost, a movement of parents in solidarity. An Executive Director, a committed Board of Directors and volunteer coordinators — all parents themselves — give that solidarity structure every day.

Following the Board of Directors' deliberation on August 2, 2026, Frédéric Son was officially appointed Executive Director of BlackGenius Canada. He is joined by the directors who make up the Board.

  • Graduate Diploma in Management and Marketing (Groupe École AGITEL Formation, Abidjan), and college diploma (AEC) in Graphic Design.
  • Passionate about digital communication and artificial intelligence (AI).
  • Experience in nonprofit governance and team coordination.

He leads the implementation of the vision, the development of operations and the visibility of BlackGenius Canada.

Joyce Nouaho

  • Executive MBA from ESG-UQAM, with more than 15 years of professional experience.
  • International background, with expertise in program administration and organizational governance.
  • Currently a transportation analyst at Quebec's Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MTMD).

She oversees the strength of our organizational structures and the smooth running of our programs.

Assétou Bamba

  • Economic development professional, holding an MBA in business management from Université de Sherbrooke and an agricultural engineering degree.
  • More than 10 years of experience in project management and strategic partnerships.
  • Experience in governance, agro-industrial management, planning and performance monitoring.
  • Currently an economic development advisor at the MRC de Rouville.

She contributes to the financial, organizational and strategic rigour of BlackGenius Canada.

Academic follow-up

Level diagnostics, individualized plans, liaison with tutors. Handled by our nonprofit's parent-teachers.

Organizing the four signature gatherings
